Veedercrest Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
A piece of Napa history!
Veedercrest was founded during a historic period in Napa; when 300 acres were acquired on Mt Veeder, in 1972, no one knew the place Napa wines would soon take on the world stage just four short years later, when the 1976 Judgement of Paris cemented Napa Valley wines as world-class, on par with the first-growths of Bordeaux.
This estate is an inextricable part of Napa history, and they continue to make deeply flavored, round, and rich reds that satisfy. When you look at the price tags on other wines in the "Judgement of Paris Club," this is a no-brainer at $33!
They deliberately hold back some of their wines until they feel they're ready. This 2009 is absolutely peaking, bursting with blackcurrant, tobacco, spiced plum, and crushed herbs just exploding from the glass – unmistakably Napa, with a Bordelais influence!
A piece of Napa history, still to this day family owned and operated. Perfectly matured, perfectly priced, and free shipping on six. Cheers!
