Triennes, Rosé 2019 375ml
Cinsault Blend｜Méditéranée, France
Southern French rosé is considered the epitome of the floral, delicate, super quaffable style mimicked the world over. Triennes is a powerhouse domaine founded by two French wine heavyweights: Jacques Seysses, founder of the Burgundian house of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, none other than co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
This gorgeous half bottle of rosé is a traditional, classic blend of Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, and Merlot picked during the cool hours of the night and left to macerate on its skins for a mere few hours, picking up just a whisper of color that results in its beautiful "salmon skin" hue in the glass.
Complex, subtle wines like this go beautifully with the local specialty, bouillabaisse – that rich fisherman's seafood stew enriched with saffron, orange zest, fennel, and garlicky aioli.
Endlessly floral and complex, with yellow cherry, apricot pit, rosemary, lavender, rocky minerals, and fresh orange zest, this is a connoisseur's rosé of the highest caliber.
