Murgo "Metodo Classico" Brut 2016
Nerello Mascalese｜Mount Etna, Sicily
The Scammacca del Murgo family are passionate, hard working farmers on the volcanic slopes of the rugged Mount Etna in Sicily. Their sparkling wines are considered some of the greatest value-for-dollar bubblies on the market today. This 2016 gem is made in the "metodo classico" – the Champagne method, a labor-intensive, meticulous process – and aged for two years on its lees, resulting in a profound, smoky, volcanic translation of the indigenous Nerello Mascalese grape.
