Founded in 1927, husband-and-wife team Sylvie and Philippe Cady run this family estate nestled in the Layon valley, a tributary of the majestic Loire river. Their son, Alexandre, is the fourth generation to carry on the family name.
Harmony and organic viticulture has been integral from the the outset; zero chemicals are used and oak is employed judiciously, with a focus on fruit ripeness and balance. The wine is as classic as it gets: black cherry, plum, green peppercorn, herbs, and graphite. A refreshing, bright, but chewy red if there ever was one.
