Château Soussans Margaux 2015
Cabernet Blend｜Bordeaux, France
If you missed out on this limited Bordeaux, consider this pristine Cabernet blend from another knockout vintage in Bordeaux, only available here.
The noble winemaking family of Jean Sorge has been one of the best kept secrets of Margaux for years. We're proud to offer a limited bottling of their timeless 2015 vintage.
The Château is named for the commune of Soussans, essentially a hamlet, found within Margaux. The estate dates back to 1730 and directly abuts the Third-Growth Grand Cru Classé Château Cantenac-Brown. Christelle Sorge is in charge and she continues on a path of tradition married with innovation, crafting wines of ever-increasing quality to lovers of Margaux everywhere. The terroir is of the highest quality, all farmed organically, by hand with minimal intervention, and fermented in a blend of cement tank and French oak. Proprietress Christelle Sorge is the fourth generation in her family to steward the estate, run by the Sorge family since 1928.
The vineyards are comprised of roughly half Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with about 3% dedicated to the ultra-rare Carménère variety, a pre-phylloxera vestige which was once upon a time one of the most common in Bordeaux.
From the unbeatable vintage of 2015, this claret is a pristine library release imported exclusively for Prologue Wine Co. direct from the Château. Don't miss!
